Mobile Software Engineer
This role is categorized as hybrid. The successful candidate is expected to report to the GM Global Technical Center or Austin Innovation Technical Center or Mountain View Technical Center three times per week, at minimum.

About the Role As a Mobile Software Engineer, your focus will be on creating cutting‑edge mobile applications that provide an exceptional user experience. You will be responsible for the entire app development lifecycle, from conceptualization to deployment and ongoing maintenance. Your role will involve working closely with UI/UX designers, product managers, and software engineers to transform concepts into functional, visually appealing, and performant mobile apps.
What You’ll Do
Develop mobile applications using the React Native framework.
Develop application programming interfaces (APIs) to support mobile functionality while keeping up to date with terminology, concepts and best practices for coding mobile apps.
Translate code into user‑friendly applications, collaborating with internal teams to develop functional mobile apps in a fast‑paced environment.
Remain up to date with the terminology, concepts and best practices for coding mobile apps.
Write unit and UI tests to identify malfunctions.
Engage in full lifecycle application development using standard design patterns and frameworks.
Assist with performance tuning, usability assessment and improvement.
Proactively engage in identification and remediation of software issues such as code quality, pattern mismatch, and security issues related to the code or solution/configuration.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
3 years of experience in a mobile environment.
Experience contributing to the successful delivery and deployment of software projects.
Knowledge of software testing, quality assurance and solutions testing including automation.
Knowledge of maintaining and debugging live software applications.
Preferred Qualifications
1 year of experience with React Native.
Compensation
Salary range: $109,000 to $166,100 (actual offer may vary).
Bonus potential through an incentive pay program.
