This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to GM Global Technical Center, Austin Innovation Technical Center, or Mountain View Technical Center three times per week, at minimum.

About the role As a Mobile Software Engineer, your focus will be on creating cutting-edge mobile applications that provide an exceptional user experience. You will be responsible for the entire app development lifecycle, from conceptualization to deployment and ongoing maintenance. Your role will involve working closely with UI/UX designers, product managers, and software engineers to transform concepts into functional, visually appealing, and performance‑oriented mobile apps.
What You’ll Do
Develop mobile applications using the React Native framework.
Create APIs to support mobile functionality, staying current with coding best practices and terminology.
Translate code into user‑friendly applications, collaborating with internal teams in a fast‑paced environment.
Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of mobile development best practices.
Write unit and UI tests to detect and resolve malfunctions.
Perform full‑lifecycle application development using standard design patterns/frameworks.
Assist with performance tuning and usability assessment/improvement.
Proactively identify and remediate software issues such as code quality, pattern mismatches, and security concerns.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
At least 3 years of experience developing for mobile platforms.
Experience contributing to the successful delivery and deployment of software projects.
Knowledge of software testing, quality assurance, and automated testing solutions.
Experience maintaining and debugging live software applications.
Preferred Qualifications
1 year of experience with React Native.
Compensation
Salary range: $109,000 to $166,100 (actual offer within this range based on position relevance).
Bonus potential: Company performance and individual performance based incentive program.
