Position Summary QXO is seeking analytical, proactive, and collaborative Demand Planners to join our high-performance Demand Planning team. Reporting to the Director of Demand Planning, this role is critical to building and executing a world-class Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process. You will play a key role in developing accurate demand forecasts, supporting the implementation of advanced planning systems, and driving cross-functional alignment across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product Management, and Field Operations. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to support the building of scalable processes.
Key Responsibilities Demand Forecasting & Execution
Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts driven by an Advanced Planning System (o9)
Own branch-item level forecast accuracy, as well as aggregation at higher levels, and identify key drivers of demand variability.
Facilitate consensus forecast process by gathering input from Sales, Marketing, and Finance.
Support the stand-up of a scalable, cross-functional S&OP process, including contributing to the development of templates, cadences, and KPIs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Field Operations to align on demand plans and inventory targets.
Facilitate monthly S&OP processes and demand review meetings.
Present forecast performance and insights to cross-functional stakeholders.
System Implementation & Optimization
Assist in refining the forecasting methodology used in the Advanced Planning System (o9) —starting with out-of-the-box forecasting, and evolving into AI/ML-based models in partnership with QXO’s in-house AI experts.
Maintain planning master data and collaborate on improving system configuration and performance.
Process Improvement & KPI Tracking
Track and report key demand planning KPIs including forecast accuracy and bias.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across tools, processes, and team ways of working.
Qualifications & Skills
3-5 years’ experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analytics in a retail, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
Hands‑on experience with Advanced Planning Systems (e.g., o9, Blue Yonder, Relex); familiarity with ERP and BI tools a plus.
Strong analytical skills with a good understanding of statistical forecasting methods; experience with or openness to AI/ML forecasting techniques a plus.
Proven ability to collaborate cross‑functionally and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Statistics, or related field required.
