Our Client, a AV Manufacturing company, is looking for a Hardware Engineering Technician for their Foster City, CA location.
Responsibilities
Cable harness and test setup assembly, modifications, testing, and documentation.
Soldering & PCBA rework; wires (0 AWG to 35 AWG), SMD chips (0201+), and ICs (QFN, BGA).
Test support including test preparation, execution, data collection, and documentation.
Assist in managing our inventory of equipment and consumables; ordering parts and supplies.
Maintain a safe and organized lab environment and contribute to lab improvements.
Requirements
Experience assembling, inspecting, debugging, testing, & repairing PCBAs and cable harnesses.
Experience reading electrical schematics, circuit board files, BOMs, and engineering drawings.
Experience with EE lab equipment: soldering irons, DMMs, power supplies, oscilloscopes, etc.
Experience with hardware tools: crimpers, wire strippers, torque drivers, calipers, power drills, etc.
Associate degree or higher in electrical/electronics/mechanical technology, or equivalent.
Any of the following certifications: IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, J-STD-001, IPC-7711/7721.
Automotive industry experience, such as ECU assembly/testing, knowledge of SAE standards.
Experience working with external vendors for lab equipment procurement and/or maintenance.
Experience creating/redlining harness diagrams and writing technical documentation.
Experience conducting failure analysis and quality control inspections on PCBAs and harnesses.
Familiarity with Ubuntu working in Linux command line and/or Python script.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
