Construction Superintendent Division: Commercial
The Superintendent provides leadership on the jobsite, coordinates subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and foremen of a specific construction project. The Superintendent is responsible for the onsite management of a project, maintaining project schedule, and managing the jobsite workforce to ensure an orderly flow of work, sequence of operation, and quality.

Qualifications A minimum of five (5) years of commercial building construction experience required. Thorough knowledge and understanding of general construction and subcontract documents, drawings and specifications, construction means, methods and materials. Knowledge of construction cost control and basic accounting procedures. Computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office suite programs. Strong management, leadership and interpersonal skills combined with the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing. Uphold and represent all company values and ethics. Maintain a high degree of integrity and loyalty toward the company and client. Hold weekly coordination meetings with subcontractor foremen/project managers to outline requirements of work completion, and other issues such as manpower, schedule, sequence of work and inspections. Implement, monitor, and drive the project schedule. Notify the project management team of schedule and performance issues, and be proactive in anticipating potential problems that may impact project cost and schedule. Provide daily reports on company‑provided software to include photos, manpower, activities performed, delays, JHAs, material deliveries and weather conditions. Provide weekly report and four‑week look‑ahead schedule to the project management team by end of day on Thursdays. Maintain on‑site project files for work scopes, submittals, RFIs, bulletins, drawing logs, sketches, inspections, permits and as‑built drawings. Manage the company safety program as outlined in the company safety manual, and provide incident and accident reports as required. Ensure subcontractor compliance with all jobsite safety requirements and maintain a clean jobsite. Initiate RFIs to the project manager addressing issues with interpretation of plans and specifications, missing information, incorrect details, incomplete information, and other issues that require the direction of the architect and engineer. Coordinate and schedule inspections with local officials having jurisdiction over the project. Monitor quality control in monitoring work and its adherence to the construction documents and project requirements. Maintain a cooperative relationship with the project management team, subcontractors, vendors, architect, engineers, local officials and client. Perform material inventory/audit of all company, subcontractor and owner supplied materials. Coordinate, schedule and manage the various utility companies for any utility relocations or new service required for the project. Proactively identify and rectify potential punch‑list items. Once a formal punch list is issued, hold subcontractors accountable for completion of punch list in a timely manner.

Hold yourself and subcontractors accountable daily. Maintain a clean and organized workspace. Ensure job processes are followed in accordance with company policy and procedures. Proactively forecast and communicate schedule conflicts that may impact project completion. Compensation is based on total package value: competitive salaries, vehicle and phone allowances, lodging and food per diem, health benefits, paid vacations/holidays, and a 401(k) package with a percentage match.
Benefits and Travel Must be able to travel full time (licensed in 48 states) with all work‑related fuel covered by company credit card. Non‑taxed vehicle allowance and cell phone allowance paid bi‑weekly. Non‑taxed lodging and food per diems with travel. PTO and paid holidays. 4 % 401(k) match when the employee contributes 5 % or more. Health insurance (company pays 50 % of employee’s plan costs). Bonus opportunities (incl. profit sharing program).
