Senior Executive Recruiter at LHH/Parker and Lynch LHH is working with a large, multi-unit, retail organization that is adding a new Staff Accountant to their team. In this position you will be responsible for managing the general ledger related to corporate operations. This role involves recording and reviewing expenses across various departments (such as marketing and finance) in accordance with established accounting principles. The accountant ensures accurate cost allocation during the month‑end closing process and conducts reconciliations for relevant balance sheet accounts. Additionally, the position involves reporting budget analyses to department heads as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform bank reconciliations for operations across multiple locations
Process electronic funds transfer (EFT) transactions
Work with legacy systems to retrieve and manage historical data
Assist with the month-end closing process
Reconcile balance sheet accounts
Prepare journal entries
Prepare schedules to support the annual audit
Generate planned and ad-hoc financial reports
Review financial data to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the necessary knowledge and skills
1 to 3 years of accounting experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
High attention to detail
