Job Description We are looking for a candidate with experience predicting the mechanical behavior of structures using finite element analysis for static and dynamic environments, performing vibration and shock environmental testing and the subsequent model correlation, and developing tests to characterize the behavior of structural components. The successful candidate will be part of an interdisciplinary engineering team contributing to the development of operational prototype hardware, spanning the full program life cycle from concept development to fielding and test.

Key Responsibilities

Perform hand calculations and simplified models in conjunction with CAD and finite element analysis software such as FEMAP, NASTRAN, SOLIDWORKS, and ANSYS.

Develop and execute vibration and shock testing protocols to validate structural integrity.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate test results into hardware design and operational prototypes.

Required Qualifications (Must‑Haves)

5+ years of experience with static and dynamic structural modeling and analysis.

Ability to clearly communicate results in oral presentations and written reports.

Ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams.

Desired Qualifications (Nice‑to‑Haves)

Master's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or related field.

Experience with structural testing and model correlation.

Experience with STOP (Structural, Thermal, Optical Performance) analysis.

Experience with LOS (Line‑of‑Sight) Jitter analysis.

Experience with vibration or shock testing.

Experience with test fixture design or other design forms.
