For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $161,000 - $241,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

Main mission

The ELECTRA program: a common initiative from Power Products and Power Systems Divisions intended to shape the future of electrical power distribution architectures in strategic segments (XL Data Center, Marine & Ports, Semiconductor fab, Mobility, New Energy Landscape, E&C, Mining, Motor management, Healthcare, CIB).

Responsibilities

Develop state-of-the-art architectures to reinforce Schneider Electric competitiveness.

Engage high level discussions with customers to capture expressed and unexpressed requirements.

Convert those requirements in power systems architectures magnifying Schneider Electric strengths and creating a new opportunity for future evolutions of the product portfolio.

Support our most valuable customers and ecosystem partners with high level expertise in power systems, protection plans (MV/LV), power automation, monitoring, and control.

Create highly valuable content to promote & prescribe through workshops & training SE solutions (RD, whitepapers, webinars, conferences papers).

Business support

Business influence and support through the end-user intimacy, specifically strategic Cloud & Service Providers.

Upon request from segments organize and deliver technical support to internal sales and tendering organization.

Ecosystem partners, particularly specifiers, animation and support for data center segment.

Application knowledge

Understand customer applications and process (key performance indicators, constraints, operation, customer roles & responsibilities).

Contribute to technical discussions with customers to capture actual application needs.

Provide applications insights and customer requirements to the further roadmap development.

Technology innovation by experimentations with customers and new generation architectures investigations.

Contribute to the definition of optimized and competitive MV/LV power systems architecture based on Schneider Electric catalogue and contribute to the definition of innovative electrical distribution architectures of the future.

Strong knowledge in power systems engineering (network simulation, protection, AC & DC power electronics conversion, power quality, reliability).

Very good knowledge of SE offers (MV, LV, UPS, monitoring & control, relays) and familiar with the new energy landscape technologies (BESS, fuel cell, …).

Build appropriate studies, and materials to promote our solutions emphasizing differentiation and customer benefits.

Strong knowledge of data center power system design.

Understanding of new energy landscape topics inclusive of source management, load management, direct current, power conversion.

Job Qualifications

BA/BS degree in Engineering or the equivalent of 15+ years of experience in electrical industry application development.

5+ years experience in electrical system design.

3+ years working with Cloud and Service Providers on Data Center design.

Professional Engineering (PE) license strongly preferred.

PhD in Engineering preferred.

3+ years working with Strategic Accounts.

Strong written, verbal, and visual communication and presentation skills required.
