is looking for a
Body & Fender Repairer !
What You'll Do
Remove dents on body and fenders of trucks, cars, equipment, and trailers with appropriate tools.
Repair damaged body, fenders, bumpers, floors, etc. with oxyacetylene, MIG, solar arc, arc welding equipment, etc.
Repair or replace various body components.
Remove rust, grease, wax and tar, and if the condition of rust is beyond repair, cut off the damaged portions with cutting torch and weld new metal patches.
Prepare surfaces to accept body filler and primer.
Modify truck and equipment bodies to accommodate specialized equipment.
Perform skilled painting work and apply primers, lacquer, enamel, polyurethane and other protective coatings of paint with a spray gun.
Work Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Special Work Requirements
No overhead permanent cranes are available; precision lifts are almost impossible.
Some repairs must be done in work areas which are open and subject to inclement weather conditions.
Frequently work under or with vehicle components of such weight which may lead to serious injury when dismantling or assembling.
Required to lift heavy loads, or carry truck, cars, construction equipment and trailer, fenders, bumpers, hoods, body panels, doors, trailer hitches, landing wheels and supports, brackets, etc.
Perform body and fender related work in narrow or low overhead confined spaces under fender wells, and in crew and compressor housing compartments in utility bodies.
Due to limited number of hoists, squatting, crouching, kneeling and bending are required to perform repairs.
Frequent back stretching, bending over fenders and hoods, etc. are necessary to do work.
Constant exposure to body fillers, cleaning fluids, sanding and grinding dust, welding and paint fumes, high decibel noise and heat, etc.
Minor cuts, scratches, burns, and bruises are common and expected.

Occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade.
The ability to operate oxyacetylene and arc welding equipment, mix paints and match colors, do spray and brush painting, and handle weights and loads.
