The Product Portfolio and Innovation Manager is a strategic role that leads the development of multiyear product strategies for the health plan and other service offerings. The manager will assess research and recommend product offerings and target markets, create a multiyear product roadmap, and package and promote products to capture a profitable market share throughout the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Leads the development of multi‑year product strategies.

Creates and manages the multi‑year product roadmap supporting line‑of‑business strategies for Commercial, Retail Markets and SafetyNet.

Provides strategic leadership across portfolios of products.

Collaborates with cross‑functional partners to collect and review new product ideas.

Leverages market, competitive, customer feedback and membership trend data to manage the product portfolio.

Develops data‑driven recommendations in partnership with key stakeholders including Sales, Product Management, Health Care Network Management, Operations and Finance.

Produces business case, competitive analysis, portfolio analysis, customer validation, product roadmap definition and go‑to‑market requirements.

Conducts financial modeling and forecasting to support business cases.

Uses internal market research to test and vet new product concepts and features.

Identifies and evaluates advantages, opportunities and emerging trends.

Develops strategies to leverage clinical cost savings initiatives and improve population health.

Formalizes a consistent strategic framework for product development.

Determines success metrics and performs post‑mortem analysis of product misses.

Facilitates the prioritization of innovative ideas.

Works with Product Development Managers to produce metrics tracking product investments versus revenue.

Aligns strategies to ensure competitive product positioning, profitability and responsiveness to community needs.

Collaborates with Marketing to produce promotional campaigns, sales tools, ROI analysis and collateral.

Partners with the digital team to recommend prioritized digital capabilities and align with member segments.

Communicates with leadership and stakeholders to develop informed strategies and deliver closed‑loop evaluation of product performance.

Ensures product strategies support the company’s overall strategy and mission, including financial and operational objectives.

Supports evolving business line portfolios to deliver membership targets and design competitive portfolios.

Provides input to the strategic development of benefit plans and processes.

Demonstrates integrity and supports Lifetime Healthcare Companies’ values and conduct.

Maintains regular and reliable attendance.

Performs other functions as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Health Planning, Business Administration, Marketing or related field with 4 years of related experience (or 10 years of related experience in lieu of a degree).

Demonstrated ability to think strategically and design strategic plans.

Ability to provide strategic direction on specific initiatives.

Strong analytical skills and use of data to drive decisions.

Strong communication skills.

Preferred experience in product strategy and product development.

Physical Requirements

Ability to independently travel across regions as needed.

Compensation Range: Minimum $71,880 – Maximum $129,384. Actual salary will vary based on budget, experience, education and internal equity. The total rewards package may include health, dental, retirement, wellness programs, paid time off and holidays.
