Construction Manager – MEP Focused
TEKsystems is looking for a Construction Manager with strong MEP experience to oversee Data Center projects across North America.

Knowledge of construction – ideally applicable mechanical, electrical experience (DC experience is a plus, not a requirement)
Understanding of schedules and budgets (field experience plus basic project‑management experience)
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent, and a minimum of 7–10 years of professional experience in construction, operations, maintenance, or project planning.
7–10 years of experience directly related to the design or construction of data centers/critical infrastructure.
General knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and connectivity systems.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously across different phases.
Mission‑critical, infrastructure, and/or data center construction experience.
Experience in commissioning of retrofit and new data center build‑outs.
Knowledge of CPM scheduling practices and familiarity with Primavera P6 software.
Functional in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Roles and Responsibilities
Responsible for managing the onsite construction, commissioning, and turnover of Data Center projects.
Support the Lead CM as needed, including contractor, designer, and vendor management.
Ownership of the construction scope, including retrofits of existing data halls and new build‑outs across North America.
Provide project coordination among contractors, consultants, and cross‑functional partners.
Lead construction on site, building strong relationships with cross‑functional partners, consultants, vendors, and contractors.
Identify and align cross‑functional opportunities to drive efficiency through innovation, process, and accountability.
Provide project planning and scoping, working with partners to identify, sequence, and package work scopes for execution.
Aid in creating and maintaining project schedules with support from Project Controls and Scheduling.
Manage the cost‑change process and negotiate best pricing with cross‑functional/matrixed teams.
Manage schedule and associated risks to ensure reliable and predictable turnover dates.
Conduct monthly WIP walks to validate work for invoicing and site walks with contractors, consultants, and partners.
Manage relationships with contractors and designers.
Assist with developing capital project budgets and providing ROM construction cost estimates.
Manage monthly CapEx forecasting for all project‑related costs.
Provide analysis and action plans based on weekly project status reports (financial, schedule, Q/C).
Manage Method of Procedures (MOPs) for retrofit/remedy work in live data centers.
Facilitate interaction between contractors, Meta, and third‑party QA/QC teams.
Responsible for Project Closeout.
Escalate key issues quickly to Construction Manager.
Promote continuous improvement, partnership, and teamwork in behaviors and communication.
Support and lead a safety‑culture program.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 – $90.00/hr.
