Opportunity Overview This exciting opportunity is a long‑term position with a Fortune 25 company that is building data centers nationwide. The role will be on site in Kansas City, MO, 5 days a week, managing the MEP portion of data center builds and vendor relationships. Previous data center new‑build experience is preferred but not mandatory. Mechanical, electrical, plumbing new‑build experience in large commercial or industrial projects is desired. The candidate will manage multiple projects across different phases simultaneously, and Primavera experience is a plus.

Roles and Responsibilities

Manage onsite construction, commissioning and turnover of data center projects.

Support the Lead CM with contractor, designer and vendor management.

Own the construction scope, including retrofits and new build outs across North America.

Coordinate between contractors, consultants and cross‑functional partners.

Develop and maintain project schedules with Project Controls and Scheduling support.

Manage cost change and schedule risks, negotiate pricing, and report on risks and mitigations.

Lead monthly WIP walks, site inspections and ensure invoicing and handover conditions are met.

Assist with capital project budgeting, ROM cost estimates and monthly CapEx forecasting.

Provide analysis and action plans based on weekly project status reports.

Manage Method of Procedures for retrofit or remedy work.

Facilitate interaction between contractors, QA/QC teams and stakeholders.

Ensure project closeout and escalation of key issues.

Promote continuous improvement, partnership, teamwork and safety culture.

Education, Experience & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

7–10 years of professional experience in construction, operations, maintenance or project planning, directly related to data center or critical infrastructure design or construction.

Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical and connectivity systems.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously across different phases.

Experience in commissioning of retrofits and new data center builds.

Knowledge of CPM scheduling practices and proficiency with Primavera P6.

Functional in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Pay and Benefits

Pay range: $60.00 – $90.00 per hour.
