Equipment Engineering Manager – Dart Container Location: Mason, MI

We’re looking for an engineering leader passionate about keeping equipment running at peak performance while exploring the latest technologies.

In this role you will lead the strategy, reliability, and technology roadmap for our operations.

Key responsibilities include defining preventative maintenance procedures, driving equipment strategy, managing vendor relationships, and spearheading new equipment builds and commissioning.

Core Skills and Qualifications

Requires one of the following:

Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in engineering, business or related field of study and six (6) years of engineering experience, OR

Associate's degree and twelve (12) years of engineering experience

Five (5) years of supervisory and/or demonstrated technical leadership experience

Demonstrated mastery in analyzing production equipment, processes and materials, and solving issues

Successfully managed and completed a large, complex engineering project

Advanced knowledge of facilities, EPS, plastic (thermoforming and/or injection molding), print, and/or paper equipment and processes

Advanced knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology, including applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to design and production of products

Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications

Advanced knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles for producing precision technical plans, documents, and models

Advanced knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing effective manufacture and distribution of products

Knowledge of business and management principles involved in planning, resource allocation, cost analysis, budgeting, people management, and leadership guidance

Excellent verbal and written skills necessary to influence decision making and explain difficult situations

Ability to communicate technical topics to non-technical audiences

Ability to use logic and reasoning to evaluate strengths, weaknesses, and alternatives for problem solutions
