Brockwell & Carrington Contractors, Inc. is seeking a full-time Construction Superintendent with 10+ years of experience in the public‑works sector of general contracting.
Qualifications
Proven experience overseeing at least 3–4 ground‑up public projects valued at $15 million or more, preferably in New Jersey.
Ability to read and interpret contract documents, including Architectural, Structural, Civil, and MEP drawings.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft RFIs, maintain daily reports, and correspond professionally via email.
Working knowledge of CPM scheduling with the ability to provide progress updates to the scheduling consultant.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferred.
Masonry or Carpentry background highly preferred.
Primary Responsibilities
Manage and oversee day‑to‑day site operations to ensure work is performed safely, on schedule, and to B&C quality standards.
Conduct daily site photos and maintain organized documentation.
Lead and coordinate activities among subcontractors and trades.
Foster and maintain professional communication with Owners, subcontractors, inspectors, and union representatives.
Conduct and document Toolbox Talks and ensure compliance with all safety requirements.
Oversee quality control and enforce B&C’s standards for workmanship.
Salary: Starting at $135,000+ per year, commensurate with experience.
