Overview We are seeking a Mid-Level Electrical Manufacturing Engineer to support wire shops, systems, and test labs. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about process improvement, efficiency, and maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and integrity.
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining build plans that align with design configurations and manufacturing processes. You will perform Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) analysis and create integrated build plans that include work instructions, tooling, inspection criteria, and other deliverables to ensure successful fabrication and testing.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement production and tooling methodologies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated technical solutions
Create and maintain conceptual designs and build architecture
Lead the development and execution of manufacturing plans
Conduct producibility and variation analyses to ensure process capability meets requirements
Provide producibility input for project planning and document best practices
Evaluate design/build concepts for manufacturability
Resolve technical issues impacting performance, cost, or schedule
Apply advanced engineering principles and emerging technologies
Validate production readiness and implement lean manufacturing practices
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry from an accredited institution
Knowledge of electrical and mechanical manufacturing processes and assembly sequencing
Experience with manufacturing systems and tools such as PDM, CAPP, CMES, MESci, EPARTs, and GOLDesp
Preferred Qualifications
3 or more years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment
Experience leading or managing engineering projects or teams
Background in space or military electronics
Experience in project management and work package estimating
Education And Experience
Bachelor's degree with typically five or more years of engineering experience
Master's degree with typically three or more years of engineering experience
PhD with relevant engineering experience
