Job Description As a Security Officer – Utilities Patrol Driver in Oregon, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as utilities. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol utility locations, remaining visible to help deter security‑related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. Your role includes conducting regular patrols and assisting employees and visitors, contributing to a secure environment. This position requires a valid driver’s license, as you will be responsible for driving during patrols. Wednesday 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM
Thursday 04:00 PM – 12:00 AM
Friday 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM
Saturday 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM
Sunday 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM
What You’ll Do
Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
Receive site‑specific training and guidance from experienced teams
Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities
Provide customer service by following security‑related procedures and site‑specific policies in accordance with Allied Universal standards, including responding appropriately to emergency situations.
Respond to incidents and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner to support the needs of the location.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and observe any unusual conditions relevant to the utilities environment.
Monitor for potential hazards or suspicious activity during patrols and report any observations in a timely manner.
Communicate and collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal management regarding security‑related matters and incidents.
Document findings and maintain accurate logs as required by site policies and Allied Universal protocols.
What We’re Looking For
Availability across various days and shifts
Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
Interest in transitioning into full‑time roles when available
Minimum Requirements
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
