Overview An exciting opportunity to open and lead a newly reimagined luxury hotel in Los Angeles, CA. The property will reopen mid‑2026 with 350‑400 rooms and suites, a vibrant lobby bar, a signature three‑meal restaurant, a pool, bar, and lounge offering panoramic city views. This role leads a world‑class opening and shapes the guest experience from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic and operational leadership for all aspects of the hotel’s pre‑opening, opening, and stabilization phases.
Partner daily with ownership representatives, ensuring alignment on performance objectives, financial results, and brand standards.
Build and mentor a best‑in‑class opening team of approximately 350–400 team members, fostering a culture of excellence, inclusion, and empowerment.
Oversee entire hotel operations, including Rooms, Food & Beverage, Finance, Sales & Marketing, Engineering, and Human Resources.
Lead pre‑opening activities such as P&L development, departmental planning, vendor selection, recruitment, and SOP implementation.
Achieve operational excellence, superior guest satisfaction, and financial success during opening and stabilization.
Drive collaboration across the Davidson Hospitality platform and with ownership to ensure consistent communication, reporting, and execution.
Serve as the public face and brand ambassador for the hotel, building strong relationships with community, media, and key partners.
Qualifications
Minimum 10 years progressive hotel leadership experience, including 5+ years as General Manager of a full‑service/luxury property.
Proven success leading an opening or large‑scale renovation project within the luxury/upper‑upscale segment.
Effective partnership with an active ownership group, balancing transparency and accountability.
Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L statements and delivering revenue and profitability targets.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; ability to inspire diverse, high‑performance teams.
Strategic mindset coupled with operational discipline; comfortable leading both vision and detail.
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field (preferred).
