Montana State University seeks qualified individuals to provide non‑tenurable level instruction and/or related functions. Instructors are needed to teach courses depending upon funding and the department’s needs.
Duties and Responsibilities
Teaching on‑campus courses.
Advising, evaluating, and assisting students.
Curriculum and/or course development.
Participate in faculty meetings and committees as required.
Maintain academic standards and uphold university policies.
Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
Master’s Degree in mathematics, mathematics teaching, statistics, or a closely related field.
Two years teaching experience.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse student populations.
Commitment to inclusive teaching practices.
Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
Two years teaching experience at the college or university level.
Commitment to supporting, promoting, and building an inclusive and culturally diverse campus environment.
The Successful Candidate Will
Have good written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrate the ability to relate to and establish rapport with a college student population.
Exercise good judgment and self‑motivation.
Possess a strong interest in student success.
Be committed to quality teaching.
