We are hiring a full-time RN Nursing Supervisor to join our dynamic care team at Wadsworth Glen Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Middletown!

Shift: 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. on weekdays. Sign‑on bonus available.

Mental and physical purposeful work with residents supports professional and personal growth.

As a registered nurse supervisor, you direct total nursing care activities in the facility during each shift under the direction of the Director of Nursing Services to ensure high quality resident care at all times.

Experience & Education

Must possess an active and unencumbered RN license in this state.

Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited school of nursing, college, or university.

Must be CPR certified.

Duties & Responsibilities

Meet the nursing and rehabilitation needs of each resident.

Maintain current resident care plans for all residents under your care.

Follow physician’s orders and provide complete nursing care.

Transcribe physician’s orders promptly and accurately.

Review patient records daily to assure accuracy and completeness.

Document comprehensive nursing notes.Maintain accurate awareness of residents on the alert list and document RN assessments as needed.

Document and report any unusual or significant findings; contact the physician when necessary.

Administer medication according to procedure when applicable.

Initiate emergency procedures as necessary.

Conduct oversight of Charge Nurse and CNA performances.

Contribute to and promote positive resident and family relations.

Specific Requirements

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Must possess accurate and comprehensive assessment skills.

Must have knowledge of restorative nursing and rehabilitation policies and utilize them appropriately.

Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

Must handle personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the public tactfully.

Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices, laws, regulations, and guidelines pertinent to long‑term care.

Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and work harmoniously with professional and non‑professional personnel.

Must plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures necessary to provide quality care.

Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, and be willing to handle difficult residents.

Must relate information concerning a resident’s condition.

Must communicate effectively about emergency situations.
