Production Logistics Coordinator
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Logistics Coordinator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This role is essential in ensuring seamless communication between production and distribution, maintaining accurate records, and supporting operational efficiency across the supply chain. Responsibilities: Generate and manage work orders to align with production schedules. Prepare shipping documentation including bills of lading, packing slips, and product tags. Maintain accurate and timely data entry in production and logistics databases. Monitor and distribute electronic data interchange (EDI) reports and advance shipping notices (ASN). Coordinate incoming raw material deliveries and ensure proper tagging and documentation. Assist in creating daily shipping schedules and tracking inventory levels. Verify shipping details and cross-check transportation invoices for accuracy. Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners to meet delivery expectations. Support the procurement and inventory of shipping supplies. Enter inspection and quality control reports into the system daily. Promote and maintain a safe working environment by addressing unsafe behaviors. Essential Skills: 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Understanding of material flow and business operations in a production setting. Familiarity with production control systems and logistics processes. Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently. Experience with ASN's and EDI for shipments. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience with steel, forging, or automotive industries is a plus but not required. Shipping, scheduling, or logistics experience. Work Environment: The role is based in an office/manufacturing environment. Initial training will be conducted on the day shift, lasting approximately 2-4 weeks, depending on requirements.
