Vanderbilt Health is hiring a Certified Pharmacy Technician to join the Oncology Investigational Drug Services team! Position highlights include: Support for oncology clinical trials Responsibility for inventory management, dispensing and compounding investigational medication preparations, meeting compliance requirements and other operational needs Monday - Friday day shift hours No weekends No holidays Previous IV experience is preferred Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician through either PTCB or NHA in order to be considered Key responsibilities include: Assisting the pharmacist in the preparation, dispensing and/or distribution of medications Applying departmental processes regarding inventory control Performing activities as directed by Pharmacists &/or Pharmacy Managers in accordance with federal, state and local laws/regulations and hospital policies Delivering outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers Operating computer systems and utilizing technology Technical capabilities include: Pharmaceutical computer literacy Pharmaceutical drug preparation, dispensing & distribution Pharmaceutical quality assurance & compliance Drug inventory & records management Core accountabilities include: Organizational impact Problem solving/complexity of work Breadth of knowledge Team interaction Core capabilities include: Supporting colleagues Delivering excellent services Ensuring high quality Managing resources effectively Fostering innovation Position qualifications: Certifications: LIC-Pharmacy Technician - Tennessee Work Experience: Relevant work experience Experience Level: Less than 1 year Education: Graduate of an approved discipline specific program Vanderbilt Health is committed to fostering an environment where everyone has the chance to thrive and is committed to the principles of equal opportunity.
