Overview
Sr. Principal Solutions Engineer, Data Analytics / Principal Solutions Engineer, Data Analytics Full Stack. Lead full stack Data Analytics software configurations for global and regional Data Analytics Product Groups. Responsible for design, development, configuration and maintenance of parameterized contextualization schemes for Manufacturing Science and Technology data science requirements. Collaborate with global business stakeholders, site leadership, Global IT, and Global Engineering; participate in Advanced Analytics Strategy Forums to drive enterprise data management and system architecture. Expected to be a world class expert in Data Analytics Computer Science, with proficiency in full stack data management for pharmaceutical and bio-pharmaceutical data sciences/advanced analytics. Work independently and coordinate global efforts on clean structured data acquisitions, transformations, and data integration to enable statistical modeling, visualization, reporting, and interpretation of results. Coordinate preparation of Quality Risk Assurance based data integrity and validation reports for stakeholder interpretation. Duties & Responsibilities
Sr. Principal Solutions Engineer, Data Analytics Executes the duties of data management and software configurations for complex pharmaceutical batch analytics Maintains business acumen and data science knowledge to ensure fit, form, and function of data science software Collaborates with Data Analytics management, team, and stakeholders to set and achieve project goals Assumes departmental responsibility for multiple projects; independently deliver objectives and compile industry standard reports for internal compliance and/or regulatory submission Provides architectural configuration support for process historians, ERP, LIMS, and Electronic Batch Systems Identifies and implements new commercial and open-source software technologies for better data science user experiences across sites/programs Reviews LAN/WAN/Edge servers and data architectures, analyzes data transfer rates, and summarizes data flow latency for optimal user experience Ensures agile software and data management effectiveness to support standard and advanced data science programs Receives feedback from Global MSAT, stakeholders, IT Governance, and Global Engineering and adjusts program management accordingly Communicates data management requirements and functionality to a diverse group of global stakeholders Maintains current industrial knowledge and adapts emerging technologies to ongoing projects to enhance Data Analytics Product Groups Principal Solutions Engineer, Data Analytics Executes duties of data management and software configurations for complex pharmaceutical batch analytics Maintains business acumen and data science knowledge for fit, form, and function of data science software Collaborates with Global MSAT Data Analytics management and stakeholders to set and achieve project goals Provides configuration support for process historians, ERP, LIMS, and Electronic Batch Systems Feasibility studies for commercial/open-source software to improve data science user experiences Reviews LAN/WAN/Edge servers and data architectures to ensure optimum user experiences Participates in agile software and data management standards for advanced data science programs Receives feedback from Global MSAT, stakeholders, IT Governance, and Global Engineering Communicates data management requirements and functionality to global stakeholders Requirements Sr. Principal Solutions Engineer, Data Analytics Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Information Technology, Database Design and Implementation, or related field; or Masters Degree with related experience; or PhD with related experience Experience requirements: 10+ years (Bachelors) / 7+ years (Masters) / 4+ years (PhD) in pharmaceutical/bio-pharmaceutical data sciences/advanced analytics in a regulated environment Programming proficiency: C#, SQL, Graph, GO, Javascript, NoSQL Software experience: OSIsoft PI, PI AF, Libre, ETL Data Warehouse Design and Implementation, Grafana, SIMCA, SIMCA-online, SAS JMP, Visual Studio, MS SQL Server, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, RedHat OpenShift Desired proficiency: R, Python, Rust, Swift Demonstrated ability to identify design issues andRecommend solutions in global architectures and database design Leadership experience managing others to successful outcomes Additional capabilities Ability to perform tasks typically expected of a Data Engineer Strong analytical thinking paired with business acumen and technical knowledge Team collaboration and project management from a data management perspective Ability to determine appropriate database design, development, and configurations for an advanced analytics architecture About Boehringer Ingelheim
