Data Center Technician

Our client, a leading organization in the technology and data infrastructure sector, is seeking a Data Center Technician to join their team. As a Data Center Technician, you will be part of the Technical IT department supporting critical data center operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization. What's the Job? Prepare, stage, set up, and perform startups and shutdowns of IT equipment, following specific instructions and safety protocols. Conduct post-execution quality checks to ensure proper grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling. Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues, quickly identifying causes and performing break-fix repairs on faulty components. Decommission hardware for system refreshes, including memory upgrades and OS rebuilds. Monitor systems for equipment failures or errors and respond to program error messages effectively. What's Needed? Computer Science majors OR CompTIA A+ or Server+ certifications. Experience working in a Critical/Data Center Environment as a Data Center Technician, with hardware break-fix responsibilities. Previous experience with Geek Squad computer repair or similar computer repair technician roles. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
