Job Summary
Freelance Shopify eCommerce Specialist Responsibilities
Duration: 3-6 months contract, with possibility of extension. Location: Remote, with availability for occasional meetings. Reporting to: Ecommerce Product Manager, Thistle Farms. Start Date: Immediate. eCommerce Management: provide strategic support to the Ecommerce Product Manager, suggest and implement improvements to digital marketing efforts based on data analysis and current best practices. Launch and optimize Shopify product listings for Thistle Farms and Shared Trade products – approximately 200 products per year. Manage and update listings across multiple sales channels, including three Shopify sites, Shopify POS, Meta Commerce Manager, Google Merchant, Faire, and Amazon Seller Central. Digitally merchandise to increase conversion using collection management, product recommendations, cross-sells, etc. Manage listings throughout the product life cycle, including A/B testing for evergreen products. Stay on top of new Shopify releases and evolving eComm industry standards and best practices. Web Content Management and Optimization: support accurate and efficient management of the organization’s websites; create landing pages and collections for campaigns (Product Launches, Gift Guides, Holidays, Flash Sales, and other campaigns). SEO optimization support at direction of ECommerce Site Strategy Manager; SEMrush and/or Yoast experience helpful but not required. Manage seasonal and campaign-specific updates; collaborate to implement ongoing optimizations and conduct A/B testing. Digital Marketing Support: assist with enhancements to dynamic retargeting via Meta Commerce Manager; collaborate with marketing team on email and SMS campaigns to achieve D2C and Donation revenue goals through optimized landing pages and well-placed link/CTA. Qualifications
2-4 years’ experience with Shopify. Strong understanding of eCommerce strategies, platform functionalities, and third-party integrations. Experience enhancing user shopping experiences, increasing conversion rates, and using analytics for data-driven decision-making. 1-2 years’ experience with Shopify Website Themes. Experience managing content updates, creating new pages, and integrating third-party applications; maintain healthy, optimized tech stack and seamless internal integrations. Strong attention to detail. General knowledge of UX/UI best practices preferred. Strong problem-solving skills: able to research, diagnose, and resolve issues. Analytical: able to interpret data and provide actionable insights. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail. A self-starter, capable of navigating unfamiliar situations. Additional Information
