The Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Business Intelligence Developer leads the collection, analysis, forecasting, and reporting of sustainability and public health data. Using tools such as GIS, Power BI, and Salesforce, and plays a key role in transforming complex datasets into actionable insights. This position is responsible for developing and standardizing processes for organizing, managing, and auditing data to ensure accuracy, integrity, and consistency. The insights generated support internal and external stakeholders in understanding program effectiveness and guiding data-driven decision-making. Key Responsibilities: Lead data collection, analysis, and visualization efforts using GIS, Power BI, Salesforce, and other analytic tools. Design and implement standardized processes for data management and quality assurance. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to communicate key metrics and trends. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure data relevance and usability. Provide forecasting and analytical support to evaluate program outcomes and inform strategic planning. Ensure data integrity and compliance with applicable standards and policies. The Minnesota Department of Transportation does not sponsor applicants for work visas or Optional Practical Training Extensions for STEM Students. Individuals must be legally authorized to work in the US at the start of employment. Minimum Qualifications: Three years of professional (MAPE 05L or higher) GIS experience that demonstrates: Experience in data governance or quality control of technical data for reporting and, Experience developing and maintaining dashboards and reports to communicate key metrics and trends, and, Experience with GIS, Power BI, Salesforce, or similar platforms. NOTE: A Bachelor's degree in math, statistics, data analytics, or a related field substitutes for one year of professional experience. Preferred Qualifications: Experience designing and implementing standardized processes for data management and quality assurance. Experience presenting complex data to diverse audiences. Experience providing forecasting and analytical support to evaluate program outcomes. Experience working in or supporting projects related to sustainability, climate resilience, transportation emissions reduction, or public health. Experience managing or contributing to software development or data system projects. Additional Requirements: Successful candidate must pass past-employer reference checks and criminal history check.
