Job Description We are looking for an experienced ETL Engineer to join our Data Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ETL processes and technologies, as well as experience with a variety of data sources. The ETL developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ETL pipelines that extract, transform, and load data into our data warehouse. You will provide meaningful firm-wide contributions as part of the Data Analytics team and collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to promote our success.
You will work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve complex business issues from strategy to execution.
Responsibilities
Identify and map source data in various commercial and custom systems
Design, develop, test, and maintain ETL pipelines
Extract, transform, and load data from a variety of sources
Work with data engineers and other stakeholders to define data requirements
Troubleshoot and debug ETL pipelines
Stay up-to-date on ETL technologies and best practices
Formulate development estimates (task, effort, dependencies)
Develop test cases and demonstrate results for assigned deliverables
Maintain and present daily/weekly status
Articulate project deliverable details to clients and project teams
Adapt to various industries and translate business requirements into development plans
Maintain a professional presence and interact with clients as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
3+ years of experience in ETL development
Hands-on experience with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Financial Audits, or Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations
Previous consulting experience or experience working with external clients
Strong understanding of ETL processes and technologies
Experience with various data sources, including relational databases, flat files, and web APIs
Experience with Python, Java, or another programming language
Experience with data warehouse technologies (Azure, AWS, Snowflake)
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Understanding of SDLC and ability to blend Agile and traditional project management practices
Technical background with enterprise solutions across industries
High-level knowledge of BI architecture or data warehousing
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple deliverables, clients, and projects in a fast-paced environment
Certifications (Preferred)
Certifications in BI (ETL tools, visualization tools, cloud architectures) are preferred
Certifications such as CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) or CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) are a plus

Internal: Senior BI Analyst, Data Product Manager, BI Architect / Senior Architect, Data Engineers, Report Developer (Power BI, Tableau)
External: C-suite executives, data owners, data stewards, IT staff, and data governance teams
