Job Summary:
The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing, supervising, and coordinating the management of Overhead and Underground Electrical Distribution projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Create and execute project work plans and revise them as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  2. Identify resource needs based on project assignments.
  3. Manage schedules, costs, and customer demands.
  4. Review deliverables prepared by team before passing to client or management personnel.
  5. Effectively apply project management methods to execute project schedules.
  6. Develop and execute risk management plans to minimize company exposure and risk on projects.
  7. Ensure project documents are accurate, complete, current, and stored appropriately.
  8. Remove roadblocks in support of crews.
  9. Project Accounting:
  • Gather daily reports from field employees, electronically track production data using Excel, analyze data, and generate cost reports.
  • Track and report labor hours and expenses weekly.
  • Manage project budget.
  • Determine revenue recognition, ensure timely and accurate invoicing, and monitor receivables.
  • Follow up with clients regarding unpaid invoices.
  • Analyze project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates, and utilization.
  • Business Development:
    • Identify business development and "add-on" sales opportunities related to specific projects.
    • Participate in proposal efforts including project scoping and estimating.
    • Convey the company's message effectively in written and verbal business discussions.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • 4-year degree or equivalent industry experience; Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
    • Understanding and utilization of scheduling software; knowledge of Primavera products and Monday.com desirable.
    • Knowledge or experience in electric utility construction preferred.
    • Formal project management training, PMP certification a plus.
    • Strong communication skills.
    • Understanding of revenue models, P/L, and cost-to-completion projections.
    • Client management experience.
    • Attention to detail, driven, results-oriented.
    • Ability to prioritize and plan work activities efficiently.
    • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
    • Motivated with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
    • Accurate data entry skills.
