Base pay range: $13.00/hr - $13.00/hr. This range is provided by Goodwill of Western Missouri & Eastern Kansas. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. Summary/Objective

Reporting to the General Manager, the Retail Store Associate is responsible for completing duties as assigned according to production and workflow standards, as well as ensuring a positive customer experience in both the front and back of the store. Essential Functions

Able to stock 1 hardlines cart per 15 minutes and/or stock 1 z-rack per 15 minutes. Associates are expected to reach position metric four weeks after training ends. Maintain appropriate security of cash and donated goods Operate register, as directed Comply with Agency policies and procedures Ensure a high level of customer service both front and back Perform duties according to safety expectations and procedures Ensure the physical safety of the back room and sales floor Communicate safety issues and concerns to ensure quick resolution Ability to operate a cash register and POS system Ability to count change, count down cash drawers and complete accompanying paperwork Greet customers and accept donations and issue receipts Operate a hand stacker and pallet jack General store upkeep including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, glass cleaning, and bathroom maintenance Production

Ensure quick placement of high-quality, processed goods to the sales floor Assist to meet production numbers as set by divisional management Ensure loss prevention and process flow guidelines are followed All other duties as assigned by the General Manager Work Environment

This job operates in a retail environment with merchandise displays and items available for purchase in inventory. Physical Demand

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is regularly required to communicate verbally and apply active listening skills. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Position Type/Hours/Travel

This is a non-exempt position. Hours vary based on the needs of the business which includes nights, weekends and holidays. Full-time positions are scheduled 30-40 hours per week, part-time positions are scheduled 16-24 hours per week. Qualifications

The Retail Store Associate will be a proven leader with the following: Experience in customer service preferred Comfort with handling cash and operation of a cash register Understanding of the importance of the donor process and how it supports the mission Ability to perform job duties safely The incumbent should have at least 6 months of work history, unless this is their first job High school diploma or equivalent is not required Operation of the hand stacker requires the ability to become certified in its operation Competencies and Values
