As a Software Engineer within PNC's Lending Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh PA, Strongsville OH, Dallas TX or Birmingham AL. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. This position is primarily based in a location within PNC’s footprint.

Job Description Responsibilities

Develop backend credit card systems.

Provide information about credit cards once they are approved to other systems as needed regarding usage, payments, etc.

Work as part of an Agile crew, attending daily standups and typical agile ceremonies.

Ensure stories in Jira have all the information that is needed to complete the work.

Update stories in Jira as work is completed, work with testers to test code, and create change requests in Service Now for deploying code during a release.

Ensure you have what you need to complete your work. Everyone on the team should feel comfortable to speak up if they need help, do not understand, or need more work.

Work with the Tech Lead, Business Systems Analyst, Scrum Master, and Testers on the team to ensure work gets completed correctly and on time for each release.

Be comfortable attending meetings both online and in person, and use Teams, Outlook, Excel, and Visio for documentation of all code.

Troubleshoot Incident tickets as they come in, dig in, ask questions, meet with users, and get enough information to help troubleshoot problems.

Preferred Skills

Java / APIs, CI/CD Pipelines

Angular

Database / SQL Understanding, experience with at least one relational database

Ability to Troubleshoot, some data analysis, mapping, design flows

Develop, test and implement software solutions.

Design software solutions to address business needs.

Write code, test and deploy software.

Prepare technical and procedural documentation required for software.

Maintain and debug software.

Competencies : Application Delivery Process, Application Design, Architecture, Application Development Tools, Application Testing, Packaged Application Integration, System Development Life Cycle, Technical Troubleshooting, Technical Writing/Documentation.

Work Experience : Roles at this level typically require a university degree, with 3+ years of relevant industry experience. Certifications are often desired. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job‑specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.

Education : Bachelor’s degree.

Certifications : None required.

Pay Transparency Base Salary: $55,000.00 – $152,375.00. Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data, and individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible.
