Media Coordinator – Backbone Media
Backbone Media is the country’s leading active lifestyle marketing agency, partnering with brands such as YETI, Smartwool, and Big Green Egg to develop and execute integrated media strategies.
Location: Denver or Carbondale, CO
Job Overview You will work with Media Strategists to organize and execute paid media campaigns for our clients. Quick on your feet and able to prioritize multiple tasks daily, you balance creative thinking with meticulous execution.
Responsibilities
Support Media Strategists during campaign strategy development and plan execution, including research, client presentations, tactical plan management, and channel execution.
Manage paid media campaign activations across multiple channels (Social, CTV, Audio, OOH, Google, YouTube, and more).
Lead research to develop and support media strategies and tactics.
Manage workflow for vendor collaboration and RFPs.
Ensure all execution details are covered, own materials, documents, and creative best practices, and enforce proper processes and SLAs.
Utilize trafficking and reporting tools to manage delivery and results (Google Campaign Manager, Google Analytics, AdSwerve, etc.).
Collaborate with Media Strategists to review campaign results and report data‑driven performance insights.
Work with Operations and Finance to ensure billing is on track and manage campaign cash flows.
Stay up to date on the latest research and media trends.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree.
0-2 years professional experience.
Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
Solid understanding of mathematical concepts.
Basic principles of marketing, advertising, and media concepts.
Detail‑oriented with strong time‑management.
Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to prioritize, multi‑task, and work under pressure.
Willingness to learn new things and challenge the norm.
Preferred Experience
Knowledgeable in all aspects of digital and traditional media (Paid Social, Search Engine Management, SEO, TV/CTV, Mobile, OOH, Display, Print).
Experience with Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Data Studio, and Google Campaign Manager.
Proficiency with research tools such as MRI and Facebook Audience Insights.
Excel mastering.
