Thrift Store Adventurer - Boise: Main St. Youth Ranch role at Idaho Youth Ranch. This position is part of our statewide network of thrift stores supporting Idaho’s youth programs and services. Every child is born full of promise, and every child deserves a promising future. The Idaho Youth Ranch has been helping good kids on a dangerous path find promising futures for more than 60 years, with youth programs and services through the state. We offer emergency shelter, residential care, substance abuse treatment, job readiness training, alternative education, adoption services, family counseling, and more for at-risk kids and their families. No matter what a child is up against, the Idaho Youth Ranch can help. Our approach is to intervene early, treat the whole child, and finish the job by sticking with each kid as long as they need us. Our work is supported by generous donations and our statewide network of 29 thrift stores, which enable us to help kids and families effectively and immediately even if they can’t afford the entire cost of care. Whenever you make a donation, shop at one of our stores, or donate items we can sell, you play a part in our promise to Idaho’s kids. Who are we looking for
You’re a natural with people, friendly, approachable, and easy to talk to. You thrive in a customer-focused environment and have a keen eye for colors and a flair for organizing displays. You’re excited to join our store team and contribute to a visually appealing experience at our thrift stores. Responsibilities
Support staff with routine product rotations to keep inventory fresh, including rolling carts and placing product on the floor and pulling items. Assist in collecting and categorizing donations. Enhance customer service by warmly greeting and assisting shoppers. Apply expertise in categories like home goods, clothing, shoes, accessories, or books to assist with pricing. Ensure shelves and racks are clean, well-organized, and visually appealing. Qualifications & Availability
Be at least 13 years old. Submit application. Submit to a general criminal background check. Complete interview. Comply with all Idaho Youth Ranch Volunteer Policies and Procedures. Availability: Weekly (Days/Hours vary by stores). What We Offer Back
