Overview
Accountant – Ecommerce – NYC : A growing NYC-based e-commerce apparel company is seeking an Accountant to lead all day-to-day financial operations for the company. The position reports directly to the CEO and will be responsible for maintaining all A/P and A/R activity, handling inventory reconciliations, and providing ad hoc financial reporting to the ownership group. The company is approaching $30M in annual revenue and is highly profitable with exciting growth plans for the next 12-18 months. Location:
Midtown, Manhattan – Full-Time in Office Responsibilities
Manage all day-to-day accounting activities in QuickBooks, including entering vendor invoices, applying operational expenses, and reconciling accounts to ensure accurate financial data. Oversee full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, verifying vendor pricing, and maintaining up-to-date records of bills, credits, and payments. Handle bi-weekly payroll processing with accuracy and timeliness, ensuring compliance with internal policies and payroll tax requirements. Reconcile inventory values in QuickBooks to maintain accurate cost accounting. Manage all Inventory through Amazon shipment and tracking platform Prepare and deliver ad hoc financial reports, including Profit & Loss statements and other management reporting to support business decision-making. Requirements
6+ years of bookkeeping experience at a consumer product business, ideally in e-commerce Fundamental understanding of inventory-related accounting concepts, including cost of goods sold, chargebacks and other associated reconciliations Proficiency in QuickBooks, preferably with an understanding of sales transaction integration via Amazon Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with both internal stakeholders and vendors/customers The above salary range represents Advice's good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible base compensation range at the time of posting and is not reflective of the total compensation package, which may also include benefits, equity and other non-cash incentives.
