Senior Platform Engineer with Security Clearance

Senior Platform Engineer Location: Mclean, Virginia Job Description: Serve as a Senior Platform Engineer Design, deploy, maintain, and secure platform infrastructure. Support data integration efforts Build, maintain, and optimize underlying infrastructure to support Artificial Intelligence (AI) workloads. Qualifications: Cluster Management: Extensive experience with Kubernetes clusters to include: o Designing, deploying, securing, maintaining o Upgrading highly available and scalable (e.g., EKS, AKS, GKE, OpenShift, or self-managed) o Including the control plane components, worker nodes, and their interactions Containerization & Orchestration: Proficient with Docker and containerization best practices Networking: Strong understanding of Kubernetes networking concepts Security: Expertise in securing Kubernetes environments and network security Performance & Optimization: Optimize resources and implement best practices for cluster tuning CI/CD Tooling: Hands-on experience with popular CI/CD platforms like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency with tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation Experience with Helm charts and customize for Kubernetes application packaging and deployment. Automation Scripting: Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Go, Bash, or similar Linux/Unix: Background in Linux, including networking, file systems, and process management Relevant certifications such as: o CKA, CKAD, CKS, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert.
