Job Description Videographer and Editor

leads the visual execution of photography and video across all brand platforms—campaign, product, e-commerce, and social. The role serves as the lead photographer while also managing the in‑house content team, freelance talent, and incoming external photography. Responsible for elevating visual storytelling and maintaining consistency across all output. This role bridges hands‑on creative work with leadership, process, and production oversight. Success in this role means high‑quality content, a streamlined studio operation, and a cohesive creative vision across all touchpoints.

Reports to the Sr. Director, Creative and is based at Adventure Sports platform headquarters in Irvine, CA.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the lead studio photographer across product, campaign, and lifestyle shoots

Manage the photo/video team, including photographers, videographers, producers, and studio assistants

Direct the planning and execution of both in‑house and on‑location shoots

Oversee all incoming third‑party photography to ensure brand standards and usage rights are met

Partner closely with Creative Directors, Art Directors, and Marketing to align content with seasonal objectives

Maintain consistency per Brand in visual quality, lighting, and composition across all brands

Own equipment inventory, studio readiness, and shoot scheduling in collaboration with the Content Producer

Mentor team members and provide creative feedback to elevate output across channels

Stay up to date with photography and video trends, tools, and post‑production workflows

Ensure all final assets are delivered on time and properly organized for use across platforms

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in commercial or brand photography, with 2+ years in a leadership or management role

Bachelor’s degree in Photography, Visual Arts, or related field preferred (or equivalent professional experience)

Expert‑level knowledge of DSLR/mirrorless camera systems, lighting setups, and studio gear

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Lightroom, Photoshop, Bridge and Capture One

Working knowledge of video capture and post workflows is a plus

Strong eye for composition, lighting, and visual storytelling

Experience managing creative teams and external collaborators

Familiarity with digital asset management and production tools (e.g., Capture One, Frame.io)

Hands‑on leader with strong creative vision and technical execution

Excellent communicator and cross‑functional collaborator

Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines

Passionate about photography, content creation, and creative innovation

Ability to lift and transport photo/video equipment

Availability for occasional travel and on‑location shoots

Pay Range Annual Salary: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00

The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
