Overview

As the first on-site IT representative at our new U.S. manufacturing plant, you will play a key role in supporting and optimizing both the local IT environment and (plant-specific) business applications. Acting as the primary point of contact for all IT and application-related matters, you will ensure smooth day-to-day operations while partnering with Corporate IT to implement global standards and tailored local solutions. Responsibilities

Serve as the primary IT contact at the plant, delivering prompt, hands-on support for all IT and application-related issues. Take ownership of local & corporate business applications, ensuring their availability, stability, and alignment with production needs. Collaborate with process owners and Corporate IT on application rollouts, updates, testing, and integrations. Troubleshoot application incidents (MES, SCADA, SAP, HMI, shopfloor systems) and coordinate escalations with vendors or global teams. Manage and maintain local IT infrastructure, including networks, printers, workstations, and mobile devices. Configure, deploy, and manage Windows devices using Autopilot and Intune, ensuring standardized, secure endpoints. Administer identity and access control via Entra ID and enforce compliance through Microsoft security tools. Provide proactive support for shopfloor IT systems and hardware including barcode scanners, label printers, HMIs, and related devices. Assist and train plant users on business applications and collaboration tools such as Microsoft 365, Teams, and SharePoint Online. Monitor production and business-critical systems to minimize downtime and ensure operational continuity. Participate in system upgrades, patching, and application lifecycle management in cooperation with Corporate IT and local stakeholders. Develop and maintain IT and application documentation, including internal knowledge base articles. Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to IT and application workflows, user experience, and system reliability. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience Proven experience in IT support and system/application administration, ideally in a manufacturing or production environment. Solid understanding of business applications used in production environments (MES, SCADA, SAP, HMI, or similar systems). Strong knowledge of networking (LAN/WAN), Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Intune, Autopilot, Entra ID, and general IT infrastructure. Experience working with shop floor IT equipment and integrating them with business systems Proficient in Microsoft 365 tools, especially SharePoint Online and Teams. Excellent troubleshooting, organizational, and multitasking abilities. Security-focused mindset with experience in IT risk mitigation and compliance. Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical issues into business-friendly language. Self-motivated, structured, and able to work independently while collaborating with global teams. Additional Information
