Job Summary The University of Kentucky, College of Nursing Undergraduate Program is seeking an Assistant Professor, Special Title Series (tenure‑eligible) position. This 9‑month appointment has an anticipated distribution of effort of approximately 50–70% teaching and advising, 5–20% research or scholarly activity, 0–20% clinical practice service, and 5% service or professional development, all reviewed annually. The anticipated start date is January 1 2026.
This onsite position in Lexington, KY, supports the Undergraduate Program by teaching, advising, and mentoring undergraduates. The successful candidate will contribute to scholarly practice, advance nursing professionalism, and implement and evaluate didactic and clinical courses. The role includes planning and evaluating student clinical experiences and guiding undergraduate students. The candidate will also provide clinical services as an undergraduate clinical instructor as required.
Teaching experience is preferred. Strong preparation in teaching and learning principles—curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation—along with interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are essential.
