Greenfish Cafeteria
Greenfish Cafeteria, located in Stanford University’s Clark Center, is open to the public and offers a wide variety of cuisines crafted by specialty chefs. Along with daily dining, we provide full-service catering for campus events, conferences, and receptions, serving groups of 20 to 2,000 with exceptional care and hospitality. Our mission is to deliver high-quality, thoughtfully prepared meals that celebrate and reflect the diversity of the Stanford community.
Position Overview We’re looking for a reliable and motivated Line Cook to join our campus culinary team. The Line Cook plays an essential role in preparing and cooking high-quality dishes for our daily service. The ideal candidate takes pride in their craft, works efficiently under pressure, and maintains a clean and organized workspace.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and portion guidelines
Set up and maintain assigned stations before, during, and after service
Ensure all dishes are prepared with consistency, quality, and presentation in mind
Follow all food safety and sanitation standards, including proper storage and labeling
Assist with prep work, restocking, and receiving inventory as needed
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment at all times
Work collaboratively with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service
Support catering or special campus events as assigned
Qualifications
1+ year of experience as a line cook, prep cook, or in a similar kitchen role
Strong understanding of basic cooking techniques and food safety procedures
Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume kitchen environment
Fluency in English
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends
