Full‑time, regular, tenure‑track faculty position.

Job Summary Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a full‑time, tenure‑track faculty position as Assistant Professor of Textiles in the School of Art and Design with a preferred start date of August 2026. This is a nine‑month contracted position. This position is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

Responsibilities

Teaching undergraduate courses in the Textiles and Surface Design program.

All tenure‑track faculty have teaching, service, and scholarship/research activity expectations.

Actively engage in creative endeavors, and/or scholarly activities.

Required Qualifications

A terminal degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Textiles or a related discipline, is required at the time of hire.

Thorough knowledge of Adobe Creative Suites.

Preferred Qualifications

Teaching experience at the university level.

Experience in Sewing.

Experience in Textile Design.

Business acumen in fashion forecasting and trends.

Industry experience.

Online teaching experience.

Experience working with software relating to textiles programming.
