Summary
This is a field-based and remote opportunity supporting key accounts in an assigned geography. Novartis is unable to offer relocation support for this role. The Territory Account Specialist (TAS) is a driven sales business leader who designs a customized customer experience tailored to the needs of each account and Health Care Provider (HCP).
Key Responsibilities
Pinpoint mutual priorities and formulate a strategic territory business plan to enhance product demand by addressing the requirements of key partners and their patients.
Encourage clinical discussions that motivate customers to advocate for their patients and involve the entire account team to identify and solve barriers.
Utilize market, competitor, trend, and cross‑functional strategies to foresee and manage business opportunities and challenges.
Conduct planning meetings with key stakeholders to tackle complex customer issues and collaborate across departments.
Examine market data and trends within the territory to understand the local business landscape and promote engagement.
Use omni‑channel strategies to maximize Novartis capabilities for personalized customer engagement, both in person and virtually.
Collaborate with regional colleagues, field staff, and home‑office teams to meet customer needs and deliver access support.
Work with Patient Specialty Services (PSS) associates to address customer requirements efficiently.
Essential Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus.
2+ years’ experience in specialty pharmaceuticals, biotech, or a sales role of similar complexity within the last 5 years.
Strong ability to collaborate across functions, communicate clinical product details, and consistently perform in large account sales.
Proactive analytical skills to solve problems and satisfy key customers with ethical leadership.
Candidate must reside within territory or within 50 miles of the territory border; ability to travel 60‑80% and must have a valid driver’s license.
Desirable Requirements
Experience across therapeutic groups, disease states, account management strategy, and new product launches.
Broad understanding of patient services, market access, specialty pharmacy, and reimbursement pathways related to HCP interactions.
Driving is an Essential Function of this Role

Novartis Compensation Summary
The salary range:
• Territory Account Specialist: $93,800‑$174,200 per year
• Senior Territory Account Specialist: $114,100‑$211,900 per year
• Executive Territory Account Specialist: $126,000‑$234,000 per year
Additional performance‑based cash incentives and equity awards may be offered. US‑based employees receive a comprehensive benefits package.
