Position Summary The Housing Programs Manager oversees Waypoints housing-focused services, ensuring the delivery of trauma-informed, equity-centered, and client-driven programs that support individuals and families experiencing homelessness or housing instability. This position manages housing program operations, supervises staff, ensures compliance with funding and regulatory requirements, and fosters strong partnerships across the community housing continuum.
Key Responsibilities
Program implementation and service delivery: manage daily operations of housing programs including Rapid Re-Housing, Eviction Prevention, Diversion, and Madge Phillips Apartments; ensure programs are delivered with fidelity to trauma-informed, equity-centered, and client-focused best practices; monitor program performance, outcomes, and reporting; implement continuous quality improvement strategies.
Staff supervision and development: supervise housing team, provide coaching, support and performance evaluations; identify training needs; support staff wellbeing and resilience.
Compliance, data, and reporting: oversee compliance with HUD and other housing-related funding; manage HMIS data entry; collaborate on grant and contract reporting; monitor budgets; use data for outcomes tracking.
Community partnerships and collaboration: build and maintain partnerships with landlords, community providers, and referral sources; represent Waypoint housing programs at community meetings; engage in advocacy efforts.
General duties and responsibilities: comply with Waypoint policies, maintain confidentiality, demonstrate professional attitude, follow crisis communication plan, attend meetings, support events, maintain accurate records, apply for growth opportunities, perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Experience in housing program management, preferably in homeless services.
Knowledge of trauma-informed, equity-centered best practices.
Strong supervisory and staff development skills.
Proficiency with HUD funding compliance and HMIS data entry.
Excellent data analysis and reporting abilities.
Ability to build community partnerships and engage in advocacy.
