Job Summary Responsible for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and achieving sales targets within an assigned territory. This role requires a proactive and results‑driven individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Work Schedule Monday to Friday – approximately 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify and research potential clients and leads within the assigned territory.
Contact potential customers via visit, call, email, and other methods.
Attend industry events and networking functions to build a strong pipeline of prospects.
Conduct product/service presentations to potential clients, showcasing the features and benefits.
Customize sales pitches to address the specific needs of each client.
Provide accurate and detailed information about the company’s products or services.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Act as the main point of contact for clients and address any concerns or issues promptly.
Regularly check in with clients to understand their evolving needs and preferences.
Negotiate terms and conditions of sales agreements.
Overcome objections and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
Prepare and present proposals and contracts to clients.
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.
Provide feedback to the sales and marketing teams on customer preferences and market demands.
Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of sales activities, including customer interactions, sales calls, and closed deals.
Prepare regular reports on sales performance and submit them to the regional sales manager.
Plan in advance with Friday submittals.
Qualifications
Proven experience in outside sales or a related field.
Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools.
Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
Knowledge & Skills Required
Strong computer proficiency.
Proficiency using e‑mail, the internet, Microsoft Office, and other computer tools.
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Goal‑oriented with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
Education & Experience High school or equivalent GED certification. Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred).
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid Driver’s License.
Physical Demands
Travel extensively within the assigned territory to meet with clients, attend meetings, and visit prospects. This may involve driving long distances, flying, or other modes of transportation.
Significant driving time if the territory is geographically large.
Standing or walking for extended periods during client meetings, presentations, or industry events.
Expected to be in front of customers physically at least 3 days a week.
Bonus/Commission Plan Eligible for bonus/commission after successful completion of the 90‑day introductory period.
Salary Range $80,000 – $90,000 Annual base pay. Commission is available after a 90‑day introductory period.
