Overview
We are seeking an exceptional Enterprise Architect to lead our healthcare technology transformation journey. This strategic role requires a visionary technologist who can navigate the complexities of legacy healthcare systems while driving innovation through cloud enablement, AI adoption, and intelligent automation. You will be instrumental in modernizing our technology landscape, eliminating technical debt, and establishing sustainable data governance practices in an environment historically challenged by data sprawl and absent retention policies. Responsibilities Aligns business and technology strategies, sets the technology direction and strategies for the assigned area, and serves as a strategic partner for business stakeholders at senior leadership levels. Researches, analyzes, designs, proposes, and delivers solutions aligned with business and technology strategies. Leads enterprise architecture framework development and interfaces across several business areas, contributing to future projects and building consensus for solution execution. Supports and takes ownership of strategy and success criteria; manages changing priorities and ambiguity with proactive planning. Drives business excellence by establishing partnerships and engaging vendors; leverages customer insight and develops teams and leadership within the function. Provides design leadership and guidance in applying architecture within the organization. Collaborates with business units to understand strategy and develop IT capability roadmaps for assigned technology disciplines. Creates IT capability roadmaps with peer architects and IT leaders to achieve current and future objectives. Guides the development of architectural elements and informs IT and business with reference to the organization's architecture; fosters participation across technical standards groups. Ensures architecture strategies align with the Enterprise Architecture program and disseminates knowledge of design principles and implementation techniques. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education
Bachelors degree in computer science, software engineering, management information systems, or related field
Experience
Seven years of experience in enterprise architecture Five years in healthcare provider organizations preferred (hospital systems, health networks, or large medical groups)
Preferred Qualifications
TOGAF, Zachman, or similar enterprise architecture framework certification Cloud architecture certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Architect) Healthcare IT certifications (CAHIMS, CPHIMS, or CHCIO) Experience with healthcare data platforms, clinical data warehouses, and population health analytics Knowledge of value-based care models and how technology enables quality metrics and reporting
Physical Requirements
Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements. Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near and far, and color distinction. Frequent hearing and speech to share information through oral communication; ability to hear alarms and machinery. Frequent keyboard use/data entry. Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping. Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs. Rare climbing.
