nDepartment Features
nThe Emergency Department is a 50-bed unit dedicated to initial evaluation and care of patients presenting with illness or injury. The Emergency Department is staffed with board-certified emergency physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, transporters, techs and registered nurses. The Emergency Department sees on average 170 patients per day with varying acuities and a wide variety of illnesses and injuries from pediatric to geriatrics.

Safely transports patients of all ages throughout the facility at the direction of the Nurse Manager, Charge Nurse, or ED RN.

Assists the staff by running errands, cleaning and restocking the department.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED
n n - n
Basic Cardiac Life Support or ability to complete at time of hire

Documented experience as a transporter or custodial experience or willing to be cross-trained at point of hire

Able to properly lift or transfer patient weight

Good communication skills
