Senior Water Resources Engineer or Scientist

to be based out of any of our

Florida

offices (Orlando, Tampa, Clearwater, Jacksonville, Titusville, Boca Raton, West Palm Beach, Gainesville, Tallahassee). The position involves working on complex projects related to urban stormwater management, natural surface water systems, green infrastructure, flood mitigation, water quality assessment, hydrologic/hydraulic analysis including floodplain mapping, stream restoration, surface water, watershed, stormwater runoff monitoring/modeling, NPDES permitting support, and dam breach studies. our careers page . Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Managing and providing technical direction on stormwater management, flood abatement, and water quality projects Scoping, performing, managing, and delivering multiple projects, including leading multi-disciplinary teams Client management and interaction with client representatives Stormwater master planning and watershed management Conducting resiliency, vulnerability, and adaptation assessments, planning, and designing Performing detailed hydrologic and hydraulic studies Developing low impact development and green infrastructure solutions Applying hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software Floodplain mapping and flood protection design Stormwater water quality monitoring and modeling Developing construction documents, including drawings, estimates, and specifications Field investigations and construction support Preparing erosion and sediment control strategies and designs Collaborating with other environmental practitioners Supporting business development, staff development, and industry visibility Education and Licensure

Bachelor's degree in environmental or civil engineering, natural resources, or related field (required) Advanced degree (preferred) Professional registrations/certifications (preferred) Skills, Experience, and Qualifications

At least 8 years of relevant experience (required) Experience with modeling and design software such as EPA-SWMM, HEC-RAS, AutoCAD, ArcGIS (preferred) Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects Excellent communication skills (required) Occasional field work and travel (required) Valid U.S. driver’s license (required) Additional Information
