Position Summary
The Accounting Manager will manage daily accounting activities, including financial reporting, regulatory compliance, budgeting, and audit coordination. The ideal candidate combines strong leadership abilities with deep financial knowledge and hands‑on experience in managing a corporate accounting function.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and fixed asset accounting.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Lead month‑end and year‑end closing processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Coordinate and support external audits, tax filings, and other regulatory submissions.
- Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and long‑term financial plans.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and applicable tax laws.
- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and assist with capital and investment planning.
- Maintain strong internal controls to protect company assets and support SOX compliance, where applicable.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to document and report eligible credits, grants, or rebates.
- Support the preparation of required documentation for incentive claims.
- Partner cross‑functionally with operations, supply chain, and leadership to guide financial decision‑making.
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff to build a high‑performing, collaborative finance team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and corporate financial reporting.
- Knowledge of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA).
- Demonstrated experience preparing and analyzing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation strongly preferred.
- Background in manufacturing, industrial, or production environments.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, NetSuite, or QuickBooks Enterprise.
- Familiarity with federal and state incentive or grant programs.
