The qualified candidate will perform duties and responsibilities necessary to support the area to which they are assigned. The role is a Building Teacher Production Room Assistant at Glenbard North High School, 10-month term (187 days), 8 hours per day, from 7 am to 3:30 pm. The position is paid $18.11 per hour.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Organizational, clerical, and technical skills including data entry, scheduling, and operation of common office equipment.
  • Knowledge of Google Suites and proficient word processing.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate with staff and students.
  • Some positions may require an ELS(PARA) License (ISBE registered in DuPage County), a valid driver’s license, or musical accompaniment skill.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors, students, and staff.
  • Receive mail and other deliveries, distribute mail, conduct bulk mailings, and operate postage meter.
  • Answer phone, relieve switchboard operator, and operate office equipment.
  • Maintain and order inventory.
  • Supervise student aides.
  • Schedule appointments.
  • May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

  • Read, analyze and interpret documents such as correspondence, surveys, and electronic media.
  • Write professional communications.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Respond to questions from individuals and groups.
  • Perform basic mathematical operations and apply basic mathematics concepts.
  • Solve practical problems involving a variety of concrete variables with limited standardization.
  • Maintain current job skills as directed, especially in technology-related activities.
  • Perform essential duties with an awareness of school district requirements and School Board policies.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Regularly required to sit, talk, or hear.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, operate duplicating machines and computer equipment; reach with hands and arms; repeat actions with the same hand, arm, or finger motion such as typing.
  • Requires close vision and the ability to adjust focus; withstand long‑term use of video display terminals (VDT).
  • May occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Moderate noise level.
  • Fast work pace.
  • Work is usually conducted at one job site, with occasional attendance at meetings, conferences, workshops, or events at other sites as assigned.
