Overview
The EDI Analyst is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and improving the company’s Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems and processes. This role ensures smooth, accurate, and efficient exchange of business documents between the company and its trading partners. The EDI Analyst collaborates closely with internal teams and external customers to implement new connections, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with partner requirements.
Responsibilities
EDI Monitoring:
Monitor daily EDI transmissions to ensure successful and accurate document exchange (e.g., 850, 855, 856, 810).
Resolve:
Investigate and resolve EDI errors, transmission failures, and work with SPS Commerce on mapping issues.
New EDI Onboarding:
Coordinate setup and onboarding of new trading partners, including testing and validation of EDI transactions.
Internal Collaboration:
Work with IT, customer service, logistics and finance teams to resolve operational issues related to EDI.
External Collaboration:
Work closely with external customers, EDI specialists, and customer service of EDI partners.
Documentation:
Create and maintain detailed EDI documentation, mapping specifications, and communication logs. Knowledge of Microsoft products is a plus.
Teamwork:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and contractors to ensure comprehensive testing and high-quality results.
Process Improvement:
Support software updates, configuration changes, and integration projects related to ERP and EDI platforms.
Other Duties:
Provide technical assistance and training to business users and other IT specialists as needed.
Team Participation:
Participates in ongoing development, communication, and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies; coordinates work to ensure best practices with all team members.
Operating Systems Principles:
Familiar with the company’s operating systems principles and objectives and understands the role of this position in support of those systems.
Qualifications
Technical Experience:
2+ years of hands-on experience with EDI systems and processes. Familiar with ANSI X12 EDI standards and transaction sets (e.g., 850, 855, 856, 810). Experience with EDI platforms such as SPS Commerce, Oracle, and other EDI tools. Knowledge of 940, 945, 947 EDI documents is a plus.
Industry Experience:
Experience in the manufacturing sector and understanding of supply chain and retail distribution preferred.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration or related fields (or equivalent EDI experience) or 4 years of related experience.

Enters and locates information on a computer. Verifies information visually. Communicates with customers, vendors, or employees via telephone, in person, and/or email. May present information to small or large groups. Office environment.
Travel:
15% travel domestically to and from multiple facilities or worksites, possibly requiring overnight stays.
Safety:
