Security Officer - Tech Campus Patrol

Aurora, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a technology-focused location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, providing exceptional customer service, and communicating clearly with visitors and team members. What You\'ll Do: Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols around the technology-focused location and its perimeter, adjusting to different working environments and conditions as required by the site. Observe and report any suspicious activity or maintenance issues encountered during patrols. Assist visitors, employees and contractors with access and directions as appropriate, while helping to support adherence to site policies. Communicate and collaborate with Allied Universal management and/or local law enforcement as situations require. Minimum Requirements: Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience. Proof of high school diploma or GED is required. Must be 21 years of age or older. Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
