Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading residential developer in their search for a
Senior Town Planner
to join their Worcester-based team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a key role within a dynamic planning function and contribute to the delivery of high-quality residential developments across the region.
The Role As a
Senior Town Planner , you will be responsible for managing and delivering planning applications, appeals, and local plan representations across a diverse portfolio of residential schemes. Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, you will play an integral role in driving forward new opportunities and securing planning permissions.
Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing, submitting, and managing planning applications for residential developments.
Supporting land acquisition strategies through planning appraisals.
Representing the business at planning committees, hearings, and public consultations.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with local planning authorities, stakeholders, and consultants.
Keeping up to date with planning policy and legislative changes to support business objectives.
About You We are seeking a highly motivated planning professional with:
MRTPI Chartered status (or working towards).
A minimum of 3–5 years’ post-qualification experience in town planning, ideally gained within a residential developer, consultancy, or local authority.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
A passion for delivering successful housing schemes and adding real value through the planning process.
