Opti Staffing Group is hiring a Tax Manager to join a respected local CPA firm in Anchorage. This role involves leading, advising, and growing alongside a team that values integrity, collaboration, and excellence in client service.
Responsibilities
Manage and review complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts
Lead, mentor, and develop junior staff through hands‑on training and review processes
Research and resolve intricate tax issues while staying current with state and federal tax laws
Work directly with clients to provide proactive tax planning and consulting
Oversee tax compliance, deadlines, and quality control to ensure accuracy and timeliness
Identify opportunities for process improvements and client service enhancements
Collaborate with partners on firm‑wide strategy, client development, and growth initiatives
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (Master’s in Taxation preferred)
Active CPA license required
Minimum of 5 years of progressive public accounting and tax experience
Strong technical knowledge of federal and state tax laws
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines
Experience with tax software and Microsoft Office Suite
